Ever since I was young, I was always a creative individual. I knew I wanted to start my own business, but I never knew I would be here today. It was just a few years ago when I was sitting in my cubicle at my 9-5, reading The Millionaire Fastlane by Mj Demarco. I knew that what society taught us, would not make me rich or happy. Which is working the same job for over 40 years, clipping coupons, and waiting to retire at 65 to finally start living and enjoying life. Nahhhh that lifestyle never enticed me. Furthermore, working as an ad admin clerk killed my creativity. I knew I had a greater purpose than performing the same task Monday-Friday and waiting for the weekend to get to enjoy myself. I knew there had to be something more and I knew that I could really live my dream life.
By hobby was always designing content on my cmp and creating websites. I actually went to school studying Internet Applications & Website programming and then moving on to studying Multimedia. I took my knowledge and hobby and turned it into a side hustle to design websites in my spare time. However, after working with various business owners in different industries, I realized that all my clients struggled with the same problem: marketing. They all had a great website and great products, but didn’t know how to get the word out to the world. That’s when I would freely provide them with all the resources and knowledge I had in the field (since I actually started my very first business in my college dorm with no website, email list, or community).
I realized that the marketing problem these business owners lacked was bigger than just with the people I personally knew. Overtime, the demand for my expertise grew dramatically.
I decided to create an Instagram account and website to focus strictly on marketing, that is when Boss Divas was founded. I created online courses, workbooks, and offered coaching sessions to work with business owners all around the world. After success with the launch of Boss Divas, I knew I wanted to run this business full time. I had absolutely no interest in wasting anymore of my time at my 9-5 which restricted my creativity and passion. I eventually quit my job to focus solely on my business. It wasn’t easy at first. In fact, the first few weeks didn’t go as planned. I had a hard time settling into this new lifestyle of ‘being my own boss’. I was sleeping in and only working when I felt like it. The little savings I had was soon depleting. I had no choice but to BOSS UP and make the money that I desperately needed to stay afloat and avoid debt.
I became disciplined and began investing in myself to grow my business so that I could reach more and more of my target audience, to increase my sales. Through trial, error, and lots of learning, I finally mastered the art of marketing and was able to exceed my first milestone of making $10,000 in under 30 days.
I’ve since built a community of over 100,000 followers on followers on Instagram. I’ve worked with thousands of business owners, collaborated with several celebrities & influencers, and even helped one of my very first clients make over $17,000 during her launch. I’ve worked with everyone from high school students with no experience in the business world to corporate executives with decades of experience. I’ve worked with women from all over the world including: Indonesia, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Canada, London, Australia, Kenya, Senegal, Bermuda, the Netherlands, Barbados, and more.
